<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planar light-emitting device which can improve reliability, while enhancing luminance and improving the in-plane uniformity of luminance. <P>SOLUTION: A planar light-emitting device comprises: an organic EL element module 3 having a light-transmissive substrate 1 and an organic EL element 2 formed on one surface side of the light-transmissive substrate 1; and a cover substrate (cover member) 5 which is arranged to face the surface of the light-transmissive substrate 1, and is fixed to the organic EL element module 3 via a bonding part 4. The organic EL element 2 comprises an auxiliary electrode 26 which is formed along the periphery of a surface of a first electrode 21 opposite to the light-transmissive substrate 1 side, and is electrically connected to the first electrode 21. A first terminal part T1 and a second terminal part T2 have laminate structures made up of transparent conductive oxide layers 24 and 25, and metal layers 27 and 28, respectively. Consequently, it is possible to enhance luminance and improve the in-plane uniformity of luminance. Reliability can be improved because the first terminal part T1 and the second terminal part T2 only allow the transparent conductive oxide layers 24 and 25 to be brought into contact with the bonding part 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
