The articulation has a ball joint (4) including a casing (41) and a head (421) cooperating with the casing that is integrated to a wheel pivot or suspension arm. An opening (411) provided in the casing defines a stop (412) for a pivot rod (42) in abnormal functioning conditions. A single covering (423) having a reduced friction coefficient is made of plastic material and placed on the stop or on a part (422) of the pivot rod to contact with the stop. The single covering is interposed between the opening and the rod and acts as a sound absorber. The covering is polymer film or thermoshrinkable plastic film.
