<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smelting reduction method of slurry, which can control the slurry to a proper concentration at low cost, in smelting reduction by drying the slurry-state metal powder, then granulating it, and blowing it into a vertical smelting reduction furnace from a tuyere. <P>SOLUTION: In the smelting reduction method of slurry, the slurry 2 containing metal powder is separated into upper supernatant liquid and lower high-density slurry by precipitation in slurry settling tanks. After the supernatant liquid is removed from the slurry settling tanks 5a, 5b and 5c, the high-density slurry is extracted from the slurry settling tanks 5a, 5b and 5c, is granulated by drying and spraying and is blown into the vertical smelting reduction furnace 22 from its tuyere so that the high-density slurry is subjected to smelting reduction. A plurality of slurry settling tanks are used. It is preferable to perform precipitation in at least one of the slurry settling tanks, and to remove the supernatant liquid and extract the high-density slurry at the same time in at least another of the slurry settling tanks. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
