<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drying device that can dry the ink discharged to a surface of a recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: The drying device 40 of a printer 1 that is an inkjet recording apparatus dries the ink discharged on the surface of the paper P that is a recording medium, and includes: a drying conveyance part 50 that conveys the paper P; and an air blowing part 60 for blowing the air toward the paper P in the direction that makes nearly parallel to the ink discharge surface of the paper P conveyed by a drying conveyance part 50. Thereby, an air flow that flows along the ink discharge surface of the paper P is caused.
