GLASS TUBE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stably manufacturing a glass tube which can be favorably used as a support of a hydrogen separating material.

SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a glass tube made of a porous glass is obtained by depositing a glass particle around a rod by a CDC and pulling out the rod after the deposition of the glass particle, wherein a coefficient of thermal expansion of the rod is 4×10-7/K or more and 5×10-6/K or less.
