<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device in which a rotation driving force of a rotation driving source can be used for both of a black development roller and a color development roller or for only the black development roller by switching between them, while the a rotation driving source can be used as a driving source for another member. <P>SOLUTION: In a color mode, a first intermediate gear 37 and a second intermediate gear 38 respectively mesh with a black development gear 25 and a yellow development gear 25, the rotation driving force is transmitted from the first intermediate gear 37 to the black development gear 25, and the rotation driving force is transmitted from the first intermediate gear 37 to the yellow development gear 25 via the second intermediate gear 38. In a monochrome mode, the meshing between the yellow development gear 25 and the second intermediate gear 38 is released.
