<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a uniform plasma polymerized surface to which biomolecules bind with specificity and affinity, and further a surface with diverse chemical or physical properties. <P>SOLUTION: This method includes depositing on the surface at least one plasma monomer from a monomer source, wherein during the deposition of the monomer, the monomer and/or the surface are moved relative to each other to provide a non-uniform plasma polymerized surface, and introducing a binding entity to at least part of the plasma polymerized surface to provide a non-uniform surface formed from the binding entity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
