<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image discrimination device for robustly specifying a damaged part of an image for a structure of the image and a characteristic of the damaged part of the image. <P>SOLUTION: The image discrimination device includes: a partial decoding section 10 for performing variable length decoding on a plurality of image blocks constituting an input image and obtaining an array of an orthogonal transformation coefficient; a feature amount extracting section 20 for performing a filter processing on the array of the orthogonal transformation coefficient, which the partial decoding section 10 obtains, and extracting the array of the feature amount of the orthogonal transformation coefficient; and a damaged block determining section 30 for determining whether the respective feature amounts constituting the array of the feature amount of the orthogonal transformation coefficient, which the feature amount extracting section 20 extracts, is a previously set threshold or more, discriminating that the image block of a region which the feature amount that is the threshold or more shows is damaged when one of the feature amounts is the threshold or more, and discriminating that the input image is not damaged when all the feature amounts are less than the threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
