<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of preventing discomfort from being given to a user due to a temperature rise of a support mounting section. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes a support mounting section capable of mounting a support 40. The support mounting section includes: a support fixing section 31 including a screw hole 31a capable of mounting a screw section 40a of the support 40; a support receiving section 32 which is exposed to the outside from an opening section provided to be communicated with the screw hole 31a at the bottom of a body housing 3 and on which a receiving section 40b of the support 40 abuts; and a protective cover 33 which is arranged at the bottom of the body housing 3 and is movable between a position for exposing the support receiving section 32 and a position for covering the support receiving section 32.
