<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image carrier cleaning device including a lubricant cleaning member that adjusts the rotation speed thereof to supply appropriate amount of lubricant to an image carrier, and a control method of an image forming apparatus and an image carrier cleaning device. <P>SOLUTION: An image carrier cleaning device according to the present invention includes: a lubricant body 51 formed of columnar lubricant to be supplied on an image carrier 1, and rotatably held in the cleaning device; lubricant supply means 52 that rotates while contacting the outer peripheral surface of the image carrier 1 and the lubricant body 51 to supply lubricant from the lubricant body 51 to the image carrier 1; lubricant cleaning means 54 that rotates while contacting the outer peripheral surface of the lubricant body 51 to remove impurities on the lubricant body 51; and adjustment means that controls the peripheral speed of the lubricant cleaning means 54 and the lubricant body 51 to adjust the amount of lubricant supplied to the image carrier 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
