摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas recirculation device which can raise a temperature of coolant with a high rate of climb, when it is necessary to heat the coolant. <P>SOLUTION: The exhaust gas recirculation device 50 for an internal combustion engine includes: a cooling means 53 having an exhaust recirculation pipe 51 for introducing exhaust gas exhausted from a combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine to an exhaust passage 40, to an intake passage 30; and coolant circulation passages 55, 56 and 57 which circulate the coolant cooling the exhaust gas flowing in the exhaust recirculation pipe by cooling the exhaust recirculation pipe. In the exhaust gas recirculation device, the coolant is circulated through the coolant circulation passages, so that the temperature of the coolant is lowered, and while introduction of the exhaust gas to the intake passage is stopped, circulation of the coolant in the coolant circulation passages is stopped. The exhaust gas recirculation device further includes a heating means 54 heating the exhaust recirculation pipe, and heats the exhaust recirculation pipe with the heating means, while the circulation of the coolant in the coolant circulation passages is stopped. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
