<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal strain type actuator for achieving higly-efficient bending movement. <P>SOLUTION: The actuator, which is bent through the heat generation of a conductive member, includes: first and second electrodes facing each other; and the conductive member disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode.
