<p>The balun has a divider type active balun element (30) and a combiner type active balun element (40) for forming distributed amplifier structures that are realized using cascode type amplifier cells (32, 42) and Darlington type amplifier cells (31, 41), respectively. A configurable unit polarizes the cells to induce a direction of coupling between transmission lines (55, 57) and between transmission lines (56, 57). The active coupling between the lines (56, 57) is realized using the cells (32, 42). Another active coupling between the lines (55, 57) is realized using the cells (31, 41).</p> |
