<p>PURPOSE: A share mesh protection switching method is provided to rapidly execute a linear protection switching process with an automatic protection switching protocol. CONSTITUTION: Share nodes(P,Q) receive a protection switching request of a first protection path included in a first end-to-end linear protection domain from a first end terminal node(D)(S503). The share nodes determines whether a share protection segment shared by the first protection path is available(S504). The share nodes transmit a protection switching response to the first end node according to the availability(S508). When the share protection segment is not used, the first end node transmits an available response for protection switching to the first end terminal node.
