<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recirculating vertical rice milling machine for Sake brewing that achieves improvement in grinding efficiency of a polishing roll. <P>SOLUTION: The recirculating vertical rice milling machine for Sake brewing is configured as follows. A vertically-arranged polishing roll 11 is disposed in an outer cylinder 15. A clearance 16 is formed between the outer peripheral surface of the polishing roll 11 and the inner peripheral surface of the outer cylinder 15. Rice grains are repeatedly supplied to the clearance 16 and the rice grains are ground by the polishing roll 11. The outer peripheral surface of the polishing roll 11 is formed with annular grooves 19 and fixed with diamond abrasive grains. As a result, even though the shape of the outer peripheral surface of the polishing roll 11 is formed similar to the shape of the outer peripheral surface of a normal emery roll, the fixing of the diamond abrasive grains onto the grinding surface allows an increase in grinding efficiency due to improvement in cutting by the polishing roll 11 to the rice grains. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
