<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To arrange a conveying roller in a moving area of a carriage on which a printing head is mounted in constitution where the carriage is rotated centering its one end. <P>SOLUTION: The head moving mechanism 14 of the printer 1 includes a carriage rotating mechanism 16 rotating the carriage 10 centering a supporting shaft 15 arranged on the outside of a platen 4, and a carriage position adjusting mechanism 17 moving the carriage 10 up and down along the supporting shaft 15. The carriage rotating mechanism 16 rotates the carriage 10 within a range from a printing position A on a downstream side of a conveying roller pair 8 to a home position B to which the carriage 10 has to rotate by 90 degrees from the printing position A. The carriage position adjusting mechanism 17 lowers the carriage 10 to the platen 4 side at the printing position A, and moves the carriage 10 to an ascending position H2 separated from the platen 4 in a range from a midway position C on a front side of a driven roller 8b arranged on an upstream side of the printing position A to the home position B. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
