<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zinc alkyldithiocarbamate compound which is useful as an antioxidant for mineral oils and also high in safety, and to provide a mineral oil composition containing the compound. <P>SOLUTION: The antioxidant for mineral oils includes a compound shown by formula 1 (zinc di-2-ethylhexyldithiocarbamate).
