PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine which prevents the deterioration of magnet characteristics of permanent magnets which are caused by an eddy current occurring in the permanent magnets at the rotary electric machine including a stator and a rotor.SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine 2 includes a stator 11 and a rotor 12 supported so as to rotate relative to the stator 11. The rotor 12 includes multiple insertion holes 41a formed at equal predetermined intervals in a circumferential direction of the rotor 12; and permanent magnets 50 respectively inserted into the multiple insertion holes 41a and formed by various kinds of split magnets 51a to 51f having different coercive forces. The coercive force of the split magnet disposed in a portion of the rotor 12 where heat radiation is conducted at a low level is higher than the coercive force of the split magnet disposed in a portion of the rotor 12 where high heat radiation performance is achieved. |
