PURPOSE: A hexagonal section steel wire bunch taping device for a suspension bridge and an automatic taping method thereof are provided to automatically wind a tape at predetermined times at each predetermined separation distance of a prefabricated parallel wire strand (PPWS) by including a PPWS taping unit. CONSTITUTION: A hexagonal section steel wire bunch taping device (200) includes a PPWS taping unit (100). The PPWS taping unit includes a circular disc-shaped rotary drum (110), an attachment unit, a supply unit, a cutting unit, a rotary drum motor (111), and a control unit. The rotary drum includes a penetration hole so that a PPWS penetrates the center. The attachment unit is connected to one side of the rotary drum, and one end of a tape is attached to the PPWS. The supply unit is connected to the one side of the rotary drum and supplies the tape to the attachment unit. The cutting unit cuts the tape connected between the attachment unit and the PPWS. The rotary drum motor rotates the rotary drum around a rotary axle of the PPWS by supplying power to the rotary drum. The control unit controls the attachment and cutting of one end of the tape by controlling the attachment unit, the supply unit, and the cutting unit. The control unit controls the rotation direction and the speed of the rotary drum by controlling the rotary drum motor.
