PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption required to secure a communication-capable state in a communication terminal of a mobile communication system.SOLUTION: A mobile communication system is constructed using a base station including means for notifying a communication terminal of peripheral radio waves environmental information indicating existence of an area subject to a poor radio wave environment in the periphery thereof, and a communication terminal including means for receiving the peripheral radio waves environmental information from the base station when the base station is set as a serving cell and means for adjusting a cell search frequency on the basis of the peripheral radio wave environmental information. |
