PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability for cutting such as break and boring without decreasing code axial strength of steel cord when stepping on a blunt or sharp projection.SOLUTION: Rubber article reinforcement steel cord 10 comprises one core strand 11 and sheath strands 12 twisted around the core strand 11. The core strand 11 and the sheath strands 12 are that sheath filaments 11b and 12b are twisted around core filaments 11a and 12a respectively. The diameter of the sheath filament 11b of the core strand 11 is thicker than the diameter of the core filament 11a, and the diameter of the sheath filament 12b of the sheath strand 12 is thicker than the diameter of the core filament 11a. The tensile strength of the core filament 12a of the sheath strand 12 is less than the tensile strength of the sheath filament 12b. |
