PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress occurrence of brightness unevenness.SOLUTION: A display device 10 is a passive matrix drive system and includes a display element 11 which displays an image and in which a plurality of electrodes 12a, 13a are oppositely arranged in a grating shape in a plane view with respect to a display material having a memory. The display device 10, when applying a pulse corresponding to gradation data of an image into the plurality of a pair of electrodes 12a, 13a, corrects a pulse width of a pulse 12b corresponding to the gradation data so that the reflectance of the display material becomes even. Consequently, in the display device 10, occurrence of brightness evenness is suppressed, and easiness of viewing an image is improved. |
