PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently utilize the power supplies which are installed in a plurality of facilities.SOLUTION: A power management device includes a communication unit and a determination unit. The communication unit transmits first prediction data indicating an estimated value of the demand-and-supply balance of power with regard to a first facility which has a power supply and is interconnected to a utility grid to a communication network and, when a message requesting the accommodation of power is received from other power management device transmitting second prediction data indicating an estimated value of the demand-and-supply balance of power in a second facility interconnected to the utility grid, receives the second prediction data from the communication network. The determination unit determines on the basis of the first prediction data and the second prediction data whether power can be accommodated. When it is determined that power can be accommodated, the communication unit transmits a message for approval of the request to the other power management device.
