Provided are: a non-birefringent resin material which has extremely low orientational birefringence, extremely low photoelastic birefringence and high transparency, and is capable of providing a molded article that has less defects caused by foreign substances; and a film which is formed of this non-birefringent resin material. A non-birefringent resin material which contains a resin (A) and a polymer (B), and has an orientational birefringence of from -1.7 × 10-4 to 1.7 × 10-4 and a photoelastic constant of from -4 × 10-12 to 4 × 10-12 Pa-1.
