PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective, economical, high-safety vaccine against erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae.SOLUTION: The vaccine relates to a recombinant protein having a homology of 90% or more with a specific amino acid sequence and protective immunity-inducing activity against erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, a gene which encodes the recombinant protein and is composed of DNA which encodes a protein having a homology of 90% or more with another specific base sequence and protective immunity-inducing activity against erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, and an erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae vaccine for humans or non-human animals, containing the recombinant protein.
