PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an NC machine tool control method and the like which enable on-machine measurement by an NC machine tool through an operation similar to a three-dimensional measuring machine.SOLUTION: A control method according to one embodiment of present invention is a method for controlling the NC machine tool that is different from a three-dimensional measuring machine on the basis of an instruction for a measuring machine for controlling the three-dimensional measuring machine, which is issued by a terminal device. The control method includes: flag and operation variable generation processing in which a flag that specifies the operation type of the NC machine tool and an operation variable that is used for controlling the operation are generated from the instruction for the measuring machine; flag and operation variable storage processing in which the flag is stored in a storage area and the operation variable is stored in an operation variable storage area; operation selection processing in which a predetermined operation to be executed by the NC machine tool is selected by referring to a value stored in the flag storage area; and operation execution processing in which control of an operation selected by the NC machine tool is executed on the basis of the value stored in the operation variable storage area.
