PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing in which the assembly man-hour of an O-ring for preventing creep of an outer ring can be reduced, and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: The rolling bearing comprises an inner ring 2, an outer ring 3, a ball 4 disposed between the inner and outer rings, and an elastic member 7. The outer ring 3 includes a seal groove 31 formed on an inner circumferential surface, and a circumferential groove 34 formed on an outer circumferential surface. The elastic member 7 includes a seal 71 which is fitted into the seal groove 31 for sealing between the inner and outer rings, an O-ring 75 which is fitted into the circumferential groove 34 and protrudes from the circumferential groove 34 for preventing creep, and a connecting part 74 extending from an outer diameter side end portion of the seal 71 to the O-ring 75 along a disc part 74a and a cylinder part 74b of the outer ring 3. The outer ring 3 further includes a step part 33 in which a diameter of the cylinder part 74b in contact with the connecting part 74 is reduced rather than an outer-most circumferential surface 35 of the outer ring 3. In the state where the elastic member 7 is mounted to the outer ring 3, the outer diameter of the connecting part 74 is smaller than the outer diameter of the outer-most circumferential surface 35 of the outer ring 3. |
