PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a halogen-free flame-resisting insulated wire which has stable terminal workability without control of the storage environment for a wire after extrusion of insulation coating material and exposure to radiation, causes no problems such as stained appearance by lubricant bloom and variation in dimensional accuracy in processing a terminal due to excessive reduction in adhesion force to a conductor, and has advantage in reducing environmental load.SOLUTION: The halogen-free flame-resisting insulated wire has a conductor and an insulating layer for cladding the conductor. The conductor is tin-plated, having a cross sectional area of S mm. The insulating layer is formed of a resin composition which contains 50 to 200 mass parts of metal hydroxide pre-surface treated with a silane coupling agent relative to 100 mass parts of ethylene polymer, having an endothermic amount of 7 to 60 J/g by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The conductor is cladded with the resin composition of the insulating layer which is cross-liked with radiation. After storage for 7 days under an environment at 40°C and 85% RH, the wire has an adhesion force to the conductor for a length of 20 mm of larger than 3×√S (N) and smaller than 30×√S (N). |
