<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately estimate a deposit deposition amount or a peeling amount of an injection hole wall surface of a fuel injection valve. <P>SOLUTION: A deposit peeling amount estimation device estimates a deposit peeling amount by calculating the deposit peeling amount as an amount of deposit peeled from an injection hole wall surface using a plurality of parameters representing factors affecting deposit peeling force as force to peel, from an injection hole wall surface, at least a part of deposit deposited on the injection hole wall surface as a wall surface defining a fuel injection hole 34 of a fuel injection valve, in an internal combustion engine provided with the fuel injection valve 22, wherein at least one parameter of the plurality of parameters is pressure of fuel injected from the fuel injection hole of the fuel injection valve, and the other one parameter of the plurality of parameters is pressure in the atmosphere around an exit of the fuel injection hole of the fuel injection valve. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
