PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an RFID communication device and a communication method, capable of excellently communicating with an RFID recording medium having a downsized antenna even with a simple, compact configuration.SOLUTION: An RFID label printer 100 includes: a transportation path 12 through which an RFID inlay 4 is transported; a reader writer 14 having a reader writer antenna 15 provided facing one side of the transportation path 12; a dipole antenna 16 that is provided at a position facing the other side of the transportation path 12 that is on the other side of a position where the reader writer antenna 15 is provided across the transportation path 12, and is electromagnetically coupled with the RFID inlay 4. |
