摘要 The present invention provides methods of identifying a subject as responsive to treatment of an inflammatory disease and/or inflammation with one or more polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), comprising detecting, in a nucleic acid sample of a subject having an inflammatory disease and/or inflammation, the presence of a C allele at single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) rs730012 in the leukotriene C4 synthase gene, wherein the presence of said C allele at rs730012 in said nucleic acid sample from the subject indicates that the subject is responsive to treatment of said inflammatory disease and/or inflammation with one or more PUFAs.
