<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parallax image generator capable of generating a parallax image with high accuracy by adding a texture to an object having a few texture, without influencing an image of a visible light region.SOLUTION: A parallax image generator 1 includes: an image converter unit 4 for respectively making parallel an infrared stereo image and a color stereo image obtained by imaging an object, having an infrared texture added by the projection of an infrared pattern, using two infrared color cameras 31 and 32; a cost volume generator unit 5 for generating a cost volume by calculating cost, indicative of the degree of coincidence between images of a predetermined range including a pixel in the stereo image, on each parallax and pixel basis; and a parallax image generation processing unit 6 for generating a parallax image by selecting a parallax of minimum cost for each pixel.</p> |
