<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of olopatadine, with which Z/E isomers are obtained with a high ratio of 4/1, the yield of the entire reaction can be increased, and the useful product can be simply isolated.SOLUTION: Olopatadine is obtained by a method having a step to hydrolyze a compound obtained by a method having a step to make an ester or an amide of 6,11-dihydro-11-oxodibenz[b,e]oxepin-2-acetic acid react with a suitable Wittig reagent, in the presence of a base, and in a reaction medium comprising an organic solvent.</p> |
