Provided is a vibration-damping device having a novel structure, the vibration-damping device being configured so that a stopper mechanism can simultaneously perform both a cushioning function and a displacement amount restriction function at high levels. A vibration-damping device (10) is configured such that: facing surfaces of at least either a first stopper section (14) or a second stopper section (16) are provided with grooves (46), the facing surfaces facing the other stopper section; cushioning rubber layers (88b, 88c) which are overlaid on the facing surfaces have formed thereon inner protrusions (96) which enter the inside of the grooves (46) and which are formed such that both sides of each of the protrusions (96) in the longitudinal direction of the grooves (46) are formed as free end surfaces; outer protrusions (98) which protrude outward from the grooves (46) are formed on the portions of the cushioning rubber layers (88b, 88c) on which the inner protrusions (96) are formed; and the cushioning rubber layers (88b, 88c), which cover the portions of the facing surfaces which are located outside the grooves (46) on both sides thereof in the width direction, are provided with displacement restriction sections, the surfaces of the displacement restriction sections having a smaller height than the front end surfaces of the outer protrusions (98). |
