The present invention enables operational computers to continue to access an I/O device even if a failure occurs in a management computer. A virtual bridge (300) comprises a monitoring unit (307) and an alternative control unit (308). The virtual bridge (300) provides virtual functions which serve as functions of an I/O device (400) to operational computers (200). The monitoring unit (307) detects a failure in a management computer (100). The alternative control unit (308) generates alternative management information (341) on the basis of packets transmitted and received between the management computer (100) and the I/O device (400), and if the monitoring unit (307) detects a failure in the management computer (100), the alternative control unit (308), instead of the management computer (100), controls the I/O device (400) on the basis of the alternative management information (341). |
