PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a function for suppressing pressure buildup in a cavity inside a space where a neutron shielding body is arranged for long period of time.SOLUTION: An inventive radioactive substance storage container management method is used for managing a radioactive substance storage container which includes: a cylindrical middle part with an opening formed on one side and a bottom part formed on the other side, and having a basket in its inside; a lid part which can be attached to and detached from the middle part so as to close the opening; and a casing which is provided on the periphery of the middle part, stores a neutron shielding body, and forms a sealed space having a cavity. The casing is provided with an opening hole for opening the cavity to the outside of the casing and a plug member attached to and detached from the opening hole in a closable/openable manner. The plug member is detached to open the opening hole and release increased pressure in the casing, and then the plug member is attached. |
