PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent problems that a portable handling apparatus is activated when a user erroneously turns on the power despite a very small battery remaining capacity, and that memory data is possibly destroyed if the supply of power from a secondary battery completely stops after activation.SOLUTION: A portable handling apparatus TP connected to a robot controller RC via wireless communication operates by supplying power to the handling apparatus TP from a secondary battery 36, and includes: a voltage monitoring circuit 51; and a boot control unit 52 as a configuration characteristic of the present application. The voltage monitoring circuit 51 monitors a remaining capacity of the secondary battery 36. The boot control unit 52 checks the remaining capacity measured by the voltage monitoring circuit 51 if a power button 7 is depressed to issue a boot implementation request, and stops a boot process if determining that the remaining capacity is not more than a predetermined value. By controlling the handling apparatus to be unable to be activated on purpose, memory data can be protected. |
