PURPOSE:To obtain the titled controlling agent exhibiting excellent inhibiting effect against pathogen of rice blast, by using at least one substance selected from oligomycin A, oligomycin B and oligomycin C which are antibiotic substances widely contained in actinomycetes. CONSTITUTION:The objective agent for controlling rice blast contains, as active component, at least one substance selected from oligomycin A, oligomycin B and oligomycin C separable e.g. from cultured liquid of Streptomyces diastatochromogenes belonging to actinomycete. The active component may be used as it is, however, it is preferably used in the form of emulsifiable concentrate, wettable powder, powder, granule, etc., by mixing with a carrier and an adjuvant to improve the dispersibility of the active component. The agent can be used in combination with other fungicide, insecticide, fertilizer, etc., having no inhibitory action to the present agent.
