摘要 A power management system includes following components. A detector detects one or more devices which are located within an area. A demand estimation unit estimates an electric power demand in the area, based on the detected devices. A distribution unit distributes an area power-saving target value to the area, based on the estimated electric power demand and an overall power-saving target value. In response to a change in a state of the devices in the area to which the area power-saving target value has been distributed, the demand estimation unit estimates an updated electric power demand, based on the state of the devices that has changed. The distribution unit updates the area power-saving target value, based on the estimated updated electric power demand, and distributes the updated area power-saving target value to the area.
