<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the occurrence of faults caused by delay in a time when an interface of an EEE device transits from a dormant state to a restored state, and estimate the fault occurrence point. <P>SOLUTION: In a network having a communication device with an EEE function, a fault detection device has: communication means acquiring information from the communication device; and fault analysis means acquiring buffer overflow information in a buffer memory of an interface of the communication device by the communication means, and estimating a position and factor of faults on the basis of the buffer overflow information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
