<p>The present invention relates to a touch sensor using transparent photodiodes and a driving method thereof. The present invention provides a touch sensor using transparent photodiodes which includes: a photodetector including multiple photodiodes arranged in a matrix form, having first contacts formed by connecting first ends of photodiodes in each row, and having second contacts formed by connecting second ends of the photodiodes in each column; an inverse voltage supply module including a plurality of voltage supply ends to apply an inverse voltage to the first contacts in each row, and configured to control to vary applying time of the inverse voltage according to the respective rows; an amplification module including a plurality of amplification ends connected to the respective second contacts to respectively output voltage values corresponding to currents generated from the second contacts whenever the inverse voltage is applied; and a touch recognition unit configured to compare the outputted respective voltage values with a preset reference range and recognize, as a touch point, the position of a photodiode that satisfies a corresponding row and column where a voltage value below the reference range is outputted. The touch sensor using transparent photodiodes and the driving method thereof may effectively recognize a touch point and whether there is a touch using the transparent photodiodes that responds to the amount of light, may be applied to a large screen, and enable a multi-touch.</p> |
