<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a see-through type surface light emitting element whose light extraction efficiency is high, and in which stripes of a belt-like surface part are hard to be visually recognized. <P>SOLUTION: In a surface light emitting device 10 including: a double side light emission type organic EL element 140 including a first transparent electrode layer 141, a light emitting layer 142 and a second transparent electrode layer 143 in this order; and a light emitting surface structure layer 100 provided on the surface 144 of the organic EL element 140, the light emitting surface structure layer 100 has uneven structure including flat surface parts 113, 114 and a slope part 115 on the surface 10U on the opposite side of the organic EL element 140, the flat surface part 114 includes a belt-like surface part which extends in one direction and is recessed or projected from the slope part 115 in the surroundings, and on the belt-like surface part, width changes in the direction where the belt-like surface part extends, and projection area to be formed by projecting the slope part 115 to a plane in parallel with the flat surface parts 113, 114 is 0.1 fold or less of the total area of the flat surface parts 113, 114. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
