<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buffer member that can obtain stable and high buffering property against shock and vibration. <P>SOLUTION: The pair of the buffer members is housed along with packaged article (10) in a packaged box (20) and holds the packaged article (10) on both sides. At least one of the buffer members of the paired buffer members includes: a buffer part (300) that contacts with an inner wall surface (21) of the packaged box (20); and a holder part (400) that is provided at one end of the buffer part (300) and has a fit hole (401) into which the one end of the packaged article (10) fits.
