<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bait preparation for mosquitoes, capable of obtaining an excellent attracting effect and lethal effect only by installing it, also having a high long lasting property and capable of being miniaturized, and a method for controlling the mosquitoes by using the bait preparation for the mosquitoes. <P>SOLUTION: This bait preparation for the mosquitoes is obtained by impregnating an aqueous solution containing an insecticidal component in a substrate material to be impregnated, having 1 to 4 brightness specified by JIS Z8721.
