<p>The present invention relates to a tube coupler including a combining body (10) having a through path (11) in an open end portion that accommodates a tube (16). A collet (20) is positioned in the open portion of the through path and has a ring (21) and a plurality of flexible arms (22) generally extended from the axial direction of the ring to the inside of the through path. The through path has a tapered cam surface (25) converging toward the open portion, and the collet arms have heads (23) in distal end portions thereof to be engaged with the cam surface and both sides of the tube. The arms fixate the tube inside the through path by being extended to the inside of the through path through the collet and compressed by the cam surface against the tube due to an outward movement of the collet against the through path. As a collet locking unit (27) is rotationally mounted on the combining body and has one rotational position to maintain the collet (20) in an external tube fixing position and the other rotational position in which the collect may move in the axial direction against the through path for the engagement and release of the tube by the collet.</p> |
