<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection valve restraining the formation of deposits by restraining fuel from sticking to an outer wall surface to which an injection hole is opened. <P>SOLUTION: In the fuel injection valve 101 for injecting fuel into a combustion chamber of an engine, the outer wall surface 701 of the tip of a nozzle body 211 to which the injection hole 801 is opened, includes a first shape part 711 and a second shape part 721. In the second shape part 721, the contour in an axial cross section rises upward in the figure with respect to an imaginary line L1 extended from the contour of the first shape part 711. The injection hole 801 is formed to open an outlet 841 across the first shape part 711 and the second shape part 721. Consequently, a relief angleα1 defined by the first shape part 711 and a first hole wall line 81 on the valve axis Z side of the injection hole 801, and a second relief angleβ1 defined by the second shape part 721 and a second hole wall line 82 on the anti-valve axis Z side of the injection hole 801, are both large.
