<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crack detection method with which a crack width can be identified accurately without sticking a crack scale on the surface of concrete subjected to imaging. <P>SOLUTION: A crack detection method includes the steps of: setting captured images of a crack scale accumulated beforehand as a database; calculating a wavelet coefficient for each of imaging subjects; creating a wavelet coefficient table and creating a wavelet image for each imaging subject by performing wavelet transform on an image to be input to a computer; and creating a thinned image of a crack. The method further includes a step for creating a thinned image of the crack scale from the captured images of the crack scale in the database, determining an estimated formula of a crack width by performing regression analysis on the thinned image of the crack scale, and identifying the crack width on the surface of concrete for each imaging subject. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
