PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a short-arc discharge lamp that suppresses variation in illuminance of a lamp in initial lighting and in the illuminance of the lamp after the lapse of a lighting time.SOLUTION: The short-arc discharge lamp includes: a body formed from an insulation member internally including a reflection surface that is curved in a recessed shape; a cathode and an anode which are disposed while facing each other in a discharge space that is formed while being enclosed with the reflection surface of the body; and a window member disposed at a front side of the body for closing an opening on a front face of the body. The reflection surface of the body includes: a first reflection surface part that is formed along a first rotary secondary curved surface including a focal point at a position between the cathode and the anode; and a second reflection surface part that is continued with the first reflection surface part and formed along a second rotary secondary curved surface including a focal point at a position displaced forward from the focal point of the first reflection surface part. |
