<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external wall plate attaching metal fitting capable of flexibly supporting an external wall plate, preventing the external wall plate from being broken even when great force acts on the external wall plate due to a strong wind or the like, absorbing a big impact of a strong earthquake or the like, and imparting high strength and rigidity to a part in need. <P>SOLUTION: An external wall plate attaching metal fitting 1 is formed by molding a metal plate material and includes an external wall plate back surface abutting part 4 abutted to a back surface of an external wall plate 14 and an external wall plate engaging part 6 engaged with the end part of the external wall plate 14. The external wall plate attaching metal fitting 1 is provided with a main part 2 formed by drawing so as to be recessed to a building skeleton side and attached to the building skeleton and back surface abutting part supports 3 provided outside the main part 2 and on both sides of the main part 2 so as to project from the edge part of the main part 2.
