<p>This lighting device has: a light source that emits light; a structural member with a flat surface; and an optical member that has a substantially plate-like plate-shaped section, receives light on a light-receiving surface, which is one surface of said plate-shaped section, and has a light-emitting surface, which is the other surface of the plate-shaped section, that emits light. Light from the light source is projected toward a space sandwiched between the light-receiving surface and the flat surface resulting in direct light and reflected light, which is reflected by the flat surface, striking the light-receiving surface, causing the light-emitting surface to emit light, thereby producing light. The lighting device is configured such that the light-receiving surface extends from the end that is closest to the flat surface in the direction that approaches the light source, in such a manner as to be sloped not more than 18° with respect to the flat surface.</p> |
